Dr. Chih-hsing Ho (何之行) is currently an Assistant Professor / Assistant Research Fellow at Academia Sinica, Taiwan. Before moving back to Taipei in 2014, she was with the Centre for Medical Ethics and Law at the University of Hong Kong. In 2012, she received her Ph.D. in law from the London School of Economics (LSE) where she was an Olive Stone Scholar. She studied law and philosophy at National Taiwan University and later obtained her LL.M. from Columbia Law School and a J.S.M. from Stanford University.


Her research focuses on the emergence of genomics and its accommodation within existing legal frameworks, with particular attention to biobanks and their related ethical and legal concerns. Her areas of interests include medical and biotechnology laws, legal anthropology, socio-legal studies and political economy. She was invited by the Irving T. Ho Foundation as an Honorary Irving T. Ho Fellow in 2013.
