Dr. Edward Yi-Hao Kao (高奕豪) is currently a Quantitative Researcher at Two Sigma Investments in New York. He received his BSEE degree from National Taiwan University in 2006 as well as his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2012. He was invited by the Irving T. Ho Foundation as an Honorary Irving T. Ho Fellow in 2007.


His research interests include machine learning and optimization, with a particular focus on their applications in operations research. From 2006 to 2010, he has worked on various data-mining projects at Google, Yahoo!, and Goldman Sachs. He was awarded the Stanford Graduate Fellowship in 2007 and the Numerical Technologies Founders Prize for ranking 1/174 at Stanford EE PhD Qualifying Examination in 2009.
